On a quiet day in November, 2010, at age 48, when traveling in Minnesota to visit family, I received a call from my surgeon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. “Jeff, could you come to my office later this afternoon?” And thus began my unexpected walk with cancer.
For those that don’t yet know me, I am a Bible software developer with a small company named Laridian, a Christian serving at a local church, a choir director with a choir of homeschooled students, and a husband and father.
As we walk this unexpected road that God has allowed us to be on, we’ve been blessed by the prayers and cares of many: missionaries from Spain to Russia to Korea, pastors from Minnesota to Florida, students from Ohio to Iowa, customers from Australia to the U.K. The Christian community is a beautiful gift from our loving Father. Thank you for being a part!

We don’t know what God has planned, nor why we are on this road that we would not choose, but trust in the promises of God, such as:
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
— Romans 8:28 (NIV)
We don’t know what that good might be, but we trust God and His Word that it will be so!
